In 2007, Dianne and Fred saw “The Bucket List” with Jack Nicholson and Morgan
Freeman. Inspired by the movie they put together their own “bucket list” and since then
have driven from the east coast to the west coast, toured “Graceland”, stood on the corner in Winslow, Arizona, walked across the Sky Bridge at the Grand Canyon, and admired the magnificence of the Hoover Dam. They have been to Las Vegas, vacationed in Hawaii, raced all over San Diego, and parasailed over Virginia Beach. They have driven up the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco, driven down Lombard Street in a 2010 Camaro, and experienced the eeriness of Alcatraz. They have sat in freezing weather to watch the Army-Navy Game in Philadelphia, cruised Virginia in a ’67 Chevelle, and “walked” the Shamrock Marathon.
Recently they hosted the “Live Like You Were Dying” home Bible study. The
overall theme of this series was to “seize the day” and live your life with no regrets.
With the approaching new year and this theme in mind, they decided to venture
outside their comfort zone and start a blog about the people, places, and happenings
around a place they love, Smith Mountain Lake. They are inviting you to follow them as
they begin their new journey called “The Smith Mountain Lake Show”.
